  I worked in Dr. Mahmoud Mansour's lab on prostate cancer research throughout the summer of 2014 through the Merial Summer Scholars program. Over the summer months, I gained a tremendous amount of experience in cellular research. Specifically, I learned cancer cell culture maintenance and upkeep, enhanced laboratory technique, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence. At the end of the summer, I compiled our data and presented it to fellow summer scholars and the faculty at Auburn University CVM.
