  I served as a factory worker lifting, moving, and preparing glass for shipment. This job opened up numerous opportunities for working with adults from different backgrounds. Viracon is excellent at bringing in workers from other countries. For this reason, I was able to learn how to communicate in more ways than one when my team included staff where their first language was not English. Especially when I was tasked with training and assisting new employees, I learned how to communicate effectively with non-verbals, simple and clear English, and giving instruction more so visually than verbally.
