The Director of Holistic Support Services works to elevate overall student achievement & wellness by leading and managing MWA’s approach to holistic support, creating and monitoring systems that are vertically aligned, by prioritizing the ongoing development of all stakeholders through the Cycle of Community-wide Holistic Education, through intensive engagement with a team of mental and behavioral health specialists & by integrating Restorative Practices and social-emotional development efforts with clinical psychological support for both children and family systems. The Director of Holistic Support Services works to ensure that every child has the motivation, conflict resolution skills, stress management & coping mechanisms, relationship skills, and belief systems that ultimately lead to a lifetime of collegiate, social-emotional, interpersonal and career success. The Director of Holistic Support Services develops Faculty in methods that promote student voice and agency by connecting class content to real world issues that matter most to students and by providing a framework for students to speak their minds, propose solutions, and act on their proposals to change their communities and the world for the better. The Director of Holistic Support Services evaluates, manages and reports up on implementation of key holistic programming and frameworks such as MTSS, RJ, PBIS, and PMSC.
