MRO Crib attendant/Repair Coordinator
-
Sep 2019 - Aug 2020
Alliance Compressors brought me on to completely learn the MRO Department. I am responsible for working the window, receiving freight, repairs, and price changes. As the repair coordinator, I am responsible for receiving repairs in, inspecting them, contacting vendors, and shipping out the part. Before noon, I pick up the freight that has been unloaded at the dock, sort it out, and bring it to our receiving clerk. During this time, I am also working the window. Throughout the day, maintenance men and workers will stop by and request parts. I have to find the part, write a ticket, and put it into the system so that an order will kick out for another part. Periodically, I check my emails for price changes sent in to me from our vendors. I check the price and the difference, then I change the price within our system and log it into my files. On Fridays, I take over the receiving clerks position. I bring the freight in from the doc, sort the packages and open them. When I open them, I have to check the packing slips to ensure the correct items and quantities were sent and enter it into our system. I wait for broken parts to come in and I inspect them. I find the best vendor for the part, and send out the part to be repaired. When vendors email me price changes, I complete the price change in our system and forward it back to the vendor. During this time, I also work the window by handing out parts that are needed to keep the facility running at all times. On Fridays, the receiving clerk is off, so I take over his position. I receive in freight, open the packages, ensure that the contents match the packing list, and enter it into the computer. Show less
