I work under the Tournament Director for USA Taekwondo to organize and run the largest and most successful Taekwondo tournaments in the country. Such tournaments are the National Championships, the US Open, and the Pan American Games. These events have thousands of competitors and even more spectators, coaches and staff from all over the world. My tasks include overseeing the tournament floor, which can have up to 25 different rings, during competition. I must be able to solve an issue in an instant in order to keep the tournament running smoothly. I also work with people from all walks of life and I can always find a common ground with them

My team and I designed, built, tested, and refined a chair to help children and adults with autism and sensory processing disorder. These individuals respond well and have better days when they are given deep touch pressure. There are many products on the market, but not an "all in one", making these disorders expensive. We started with just the problem presented to us and we made the sensory lounger. Using CAD and a CNC machine I designed the body to be lightweight but strong. We faced problems such as a loud motor in the pump we used, finding the proper material that would be comfortable, durable and flexible enough, as well as making the lounger comfortable and appealing to the consumer. The chair is now being sold on the markethttps://www.southpaw.com/the-sensory-lounger.html
