Working as a cafe manager at one of the biggest and most popular hostels in Australia. My list of responsibilities included: . - Ensuring Daily duties were completed. - maintaining the highest level of cleanliness, food & safety and hygiene was kept. - Setting up weekly rosters. - Ordering and managing stock on a weekly and daily basis. - Making delicious coffee. - Serving customers from all around the world and retaining a great impression of the hostel. This job really allowed me to come into my own as a hospitality manager, communicating between cafe and kitchen and making the right changes to positively impact the business.

Alderton enterprises had three brands operating in one location, a cafe called the Buzz bar. Managing a small point of sales team, I routinely kept the store functioning to the highest quality. I encouraged my staff to focus on product knowledge, proactive work days and well organised displays; as such customer experiences Improved and we retained memberships while continuing to grow. Weekly meetings with all mangers of the stores introduced me to KPI's and really started me thinking strategically about targets.
