Perform a wide variety of duties, including: -Ensure that brand new product or process is designed within various industry standards according to applicable specification in a safe, cost efficient and timely manner while following Gentherm processes. -Maintains correct engineering and technical disciplines. -Define system and component operating requirements and control schemes. -Prepare technical specifications for the electrical/electronic components and system. -Carry out circuit simulations and/or calculations to prove out concepts and designs. -Design electrical schematics and PCB layout optimized for automotive EMC performance. -Test and troubleshoot prototypes, troubleshoot EMC issues. -Create BOM, gerbers, ICT specification, EOL test specification and other fabrication documents. -Continuously improve existing product design and internal processes to increase customer satisfaction (CI and VAVE initiatives). -Ensure functional and safe prototypes. -Identify unachievable project timelines from design phase through production and service. -Attend, support and participate in engineering development meetings, program launches with the customer and team. -Act as a technical liaison between customer and Gentherm internal.
