    • Co-Owner
      • Jun 2018 - Mar 2020

In June 2018 became Co-Owner at Glassmaster controls, expanding my role while continuing to manage Tooling and Maintenance directly (although, less hands-on as front office work took priority). Worked day to day overseeing all aspects of the company including HR, Finance, Engineering & Sales, and Operations while also leading the implementation of a new ERP system from previous DOS based MRP system. In October 2019 hired a COO to help coach myself in the new ownership role and navigate the company to profitability. We had recognized the value of experience and knowledge beyond what we had. This allowed me to grow and become competent in understanding a variety of key business elements such as balance sheets, income statements, pricing, negotiation skills, organizational structure, and more. It also helped me learn the value of strong foundation tools (procedures, organization, proper training) from which a company can build and grow upon. In March 2020 I helped facilitate the sale of the company in such a manner that would ensure no jobs were lost, the employees continued to have work under the new ownership, and the company as a whole continued to improve going forward.

Worked hands on to keep production lines running and outsource replacement parts (and in many instances, find a suitable modern replacement for obsolete or unavailable parts). Also worked with prototype engineering to design new tooling using Solidworks and implement the new tooling for new products.
