      I conducted conservation genetic studies on a federally threatened plant, DeBeque Phacelia. My research was two-fold. First, I focused on resolving the taxonomic synonymy of the plant using phylogenetic techniques in order to determine if it was a distinct species, justifying continued resource allocation towards its conservation. Second, I conducted population level genetic studies in order to assess genetic diversity, population structure, and breeding system in order to guide management objectives and prioritize populations for conservation
