IHC IQIP. designs, manufactures and maintain hydraulic accelerated piling hammers and its accessories. The machines are used worldwide in the Coastal & Civil, Offshore Wind Farm and Natural Oil & Gas industry. After my graduation internship at IHC Hydrohammer I started working as a project engineer at IQIP (Former Hydrohammer) for 1 day in a week besides my courses on the TU Delft. After six months of study I started a fulltime job as project engineer. In my work as project engineer I am working on and with the peripheral equipment which is used to drive the Hydrohammer. This peripheral equipment contains on- and offshore hydraulic power packs, hydraulic hose bundle winches, control containers and electric control boxes. As project engineer I am responsible for the functional and technical specifications of these pieces equipment. After the order is awarded I’m involved in the complete path from design decisions, factory and site acceptance tests and validation of the complete documentation set. This in close cooperation with the supplier, client, purchasing department and our system engineering department. As an extension of the service department I give advice regarding technical problems which can’t be solved by the first line of service, or act as the connection between our service department and the suppliers when required. During the my time as project engineer I was involved in projects like the IHC Waterhammer S-90W and S-500W, the IHC Noise mitigation system “NMS 6000” and the development of several new hydraulic power packs. Since February 2010 certified to work on offshore vessels and structures. Since then I have worked during several offshore projects as hammer operator/supervisor. Projects varying from the installation of anchor piles for manifolds, conductors to large windmill foundation (mono)piles.
