MISC was created to serve the growing international community at the University of Missouri- Columbia (MU). There was a realization that no matter how much international students were connected at MU, there would always be gaps between international and domestic students. Therefore, MISC was formed to bridge that gap by providing a platform for international students to voice their concerns. Additionally, MISC provides various services to support international students on campus.
