I used several different microphone voices and mic techniques to craft a desired sound for my bands first song "Broken Time" consisting of drums, electric guitar, bass, and vocals. I then took the recorded "raw" tracks and edited, mixed, and mastered them to their completed version.

I was given raw tracks from a session recorded by my instructor, Chad Helmonds, to mix with all the elements of compression, EQ, levels, and panning in mind.

I mimicked sound effects into a microphone while watching a scene from the movie, "Spirited Away". These recorded sounds were then manipulated to make the scene seem "larger then life". I was given an rhythm acoustic guitar and lead vocal track by my instructor, Steve Price, and was required to compose a full production for the song. I created realistic MIDI sounds to create counter-rhythms, and melodies that didn't take away from the original song. Instrumentation added: Violin, Viola, Cello, Upright Bass, Harp, Saxophone, and percussion parts.
