      As a design engineer my main responsibilities were to: Effectively design and calculate all temporary works structures in accordance with the most up to date Legislation, British Standard, Codes of Practice, guidance notes and company procedures ensuring that the design is fit for purpose. alongside ensuring that office administration procedures were carried out to ensure traceability of work. I was also required to work alone or in conjunction with other engineers and draughtsman to complete a project delegated by the design office manager or senior engineers. One of my other responsibilities was to check designs carried out by subordinates and ensure approval was carried out by the senior staff.       As a project officer my main responsibilities were to: Regularly I had to facilitate the development of youth provisions in the South East of Sheffield, ensuring the service users opinions are incorporated in the final product. Along side this I was required to tender and purchase equipment and services for the centre and the provisions provided i.e. internal fit out, computer equipment. Assist in the development of safety procedures for the building and for the users of the facility, and ensure the maintenance and upkeep of the building at all times. In addition to the above I was required to liaise with partner agencies and senior management on issues affecting the building and actions required taking. I.e. City Councillors, Fire and Rescue, Local Residents. I also worked very closely with service users on the interior design of the project along with commissioned agencies and contractors Some of my time in the role I was required facilitate meeting and conferences in the developed building for professionals and clients.
