During this Spring Internship, I analyzed financial statements, leases, and offering memorandums to underwrite properties in excel. I also worked closely with originations and credit analysts with loan sizing, property analysis, and deal screening. I gained experience underwriting cash flows for multifamily, office, retail, hotel, industrial, and mixed-use property types. During this Fall Internship, I was responsible for analyzing cash flows and underwriting loan summaries for different product types. I studied property cash flows, leases, and market information for multi-family and commercial assets. I got the opportunity to work closely with the Principal and Director of Originations to originate and process loans. Throughout the internship, I also maintained weekly multi-family rate surveys and bi-weekly commercial rate surveys. In this Summer Analyst Program, I gained significant experience in real estate development, underwriting, and the due diligence process. As a member of the Development team, I oversaw the due diligence and redevelopment of a 20,000 SF office building in Beverly Hills, CA. During this project I produced a Change Order, Due Diligence Summary, Professional Service Agreement, and RFP. Simultaneously, I completed a case study with other interns analyzing the holding and sale of a Class A core multi-family asset. In this Rotational Construction Program, I spent time learning about project management, construction design, estimating, and safety. I learned the duties of field operation positions while working with Project Managers. During this time, I organized daily logs and constraint logs with Foremen and Superintendents. I also learned how to draft detailed Requests for Information (RFIs) to other contractors on a project. As a part of the Construction Design team, I worked in Revit to edit building models and understand building conflicts. While in high school, I interned for an architect in Laguna Hills, CA. Here, I was responsible for drafting projects in AutoCAD and assembling architectural plans. I consistently edited sections and elevations of plans for residential and commercial projects.
