  Project Engineer TIW April 1995 – Present My responsibilities consist of new design of liner hanger systems including liner top packers and liner hangers, Sustaining Engineering on existing equipment to suit customers’ requests, and meeting with in-house machinists to ensure conformance to machine prints and find alternate solutions around any non-conformances. In addition, I support salesmen from TIW’s Odessa, Corpus Christi, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Mexico districts by assisting them in selecting the proper equipment to meet the customers’ needs. This involves burst and collapse calculations, elastomer selection, bypass calculations, hydrostatic calculations and hanger load calculations. I have also participated in the following special projects: • 2006 – Worked in conjunction with Sea Engineering, Inc. to design and test a 13-3/8 OD tension operated ball valve for Anadarko • 2004 – Designed a cement port collar for PEMEX that relies on metal to metal seals instead of o-rings • 2003 – Worked on re-design of TIW’s hydraulic release setting tool • 1997 – Involved in reducing cost of manufacturing of TIW’s IB (integral barrel) single cone mechanical hanger • 1996 – Worked on a team to design all liner sizes of the TSP RRP Hanger, TIW’s rotational high load hanger Show less
