  I taught grammar and conversational language skills to students and volunteers preparing to live full-time in the Philippines. I helped implement new teaching methods for enhanced grammar structure while evaluating the retention of concepts and vocabulary. I assisted students understand the complexities of the Visayan language and the many dialects of the southern islands. I was able to teach through classroom instruction, one-on-one tutoring, role playing exercises, and continual practice of research/problem solving activities. My preparation and execution of the new curriculum was crucial to the success of the hundreds of students that I taught. Show less
