I would guide the trucks full of asphalt into our construction zone, guide them and dump out the correct amount of asphalt for the paving machine to pick up and pave out.

      • Jun 1996 - May 2003

When I worked for Granite, I started out as a normal union laberor. Although after working for a few different foreman, I was asked to become the Dump Man on Hank Ebert's paving crew. So when the trucks arrived full of asphalt, I would guide the trucks in and use the lever to dump out the correct amount of asphalt for each road or highway. Being careful not to over fill the paving machine or run it out of asphalt. The month and year I started is an approximation, but I know I stopped working on May 3rd, 2003 cause thats the date of my accident.
