Brad and I shared an office in the early days of production on Free Realms at Sony Online Entertainment. I look back on those days as some of the most fun I have ever had making anything! An incredible talent, Brad brings a creative approach to everything he does. No marker board is safe from his constant drawing! Brad does his best work when he's on something with a wacky or cartoony edge. His work on Free Realms set a high bar that the rest of the team had to work hard to match. Bringing in inspiration from all over, his ideas for how to do things in the most entertaining way made a huge impression on me. I specifically remember his idea for how players would change jobs in Free Realms. How are we going to get players to change entire outfits in such a way that it felt heroic and didn't take forever? We didn't want them to just appear. We didn't want to hide them away in a menu or weird changing room. Brad pulled inspiration from Linda Carter's Wonder Woman and BAM! We had a very powerful job change animation. Brad made something so simple look so amazing. Again and again, Brad was thrilling players with interesting creatures, fun tricks for their pets to do, and an overall entertaining game experience that they would not have otherwise had. Brad is great to work with. He's also tall! If you need anything off of a high shelf, or anything animated in a funny, entertaining, or otherwise interesting way, Brad Constantine is your guy. He would make an excellent addition to any team that wants animation with a solid traditional foundation with an eye toward the future.
