A volunteer position to bring internet to the district. Previously no internet existed unless using ham radio under the early packet protocols. A link was created to MBnet via the University of Manitoba with frame relay for pubic, school, and library access. Many hours were spent keeping the early hackers out and connecting homes. For several years if you wanted to get on the internet you had to go to SIRnet. A volunteer position to bring internet to the district.
