My first year at Rockwell was for my ‘Industrial Based Learning’ (IBL) year during my University Degree at Swinburne. This was my first experience in Industrial Automation & Control Systems and I’ve been hooked ever since. I then continued to work part time with Rockwell for the duration of my university course. During my time with Rockwell I attended many training courses covering SLC-500 & ControlLogix Systems as well as field bus technologies. My role as Technical Support Engineer saw me hone my trouble shooting skills and give me a taste of what types of issues and challenges I would face in later project work – which as most Automation Engineers know are mainly to do with communications configuration. Roles at Rockwell Automation: - Technical Support Engineer (via Phone & Email) - Technical Support Laboratory Set-up
