Benje and I made up the medical-marketing leadership team for Lilly's cardiovascular portfolio in Australia and New Zealand. We launched a product, we withdrew a product and we nurtured an older niche product. All of these products were in highly specialised areas, requiring strong scientific knowledge. As a pharmacist, this proved to be no challenge for Benje. We faced many challenges in a market dominated by cardiovascular powerhouse companies, but we gained a reputation as an ethical company and our key opinion leaders enjoyed working with us.
