Boyan did an impressive internship in the Machine Learning Research team in Ocado Sofia. He had very strong foundations in software engineering and was able to solve every technical problem he encountered. He is a very fast learner and didn't hesitate to get out of his comfort zone and contribute with development, data analysis and presentation. Boyan is friendly, easy to communicate and hang out with - would have him in the team any time in the future!

Georgi Pachov

From my time working with Boyan, he demonstrated exceptional passion, interest and in-depth knowledge that was well beyond what one would expect for his age. His reasoning and understanding on python, asynchronous programming, operating systems and low-level I/Os were remarkable and are a very solid foundation for some exciting things to come.

Part of the Open Source team, developing the Morello port of the Linux kernel.During the full-time summer placement I worked on a freestanding test environment for the Morello project. This included reimplementing the core of the kselftest harness without the assumption of a libc present and adding cut down versions of some of the most useful libc routines like printf (patches available: https://git.morello-project.org/morello/kernel/morello-ack/-/commit/ec581aafd72a69c92de137e910037abdf9ce1141).A notable artefact during this work was enabling the musl libc to cross compile with clang (patch: https://git.morello-project.org/morello/musl-libc/-/commit/7337f434b4c3abffb794a385c26c6cfc80276f53) Show less

Developed an internal helper tool for managing kubernetes pods. I also prepared datasets for machine learning using asynchronous python for data downloads and pandas for data manipulation.
