Hardware lead
-
Jun 2018 - Aug 2021
As domain-lead for Mapiq's hardware division, I have been in charge of steering the development of and fully operationalising Mapiq's own portfolio of IoT products from production to installation. Most notable is the "Mapiq desk-sensor", a wireless capacitive sensor that detects presence of a desk-user with incredible accuracy and displays the occupancy state on the mapiq web-platfom.

As a freelance designer, I worked on very diverse design projects for very broad clientele. Activities included (but were not limited to): CAD work, packaging design, design visualisation, product conceptualisation, prototyping, web-design, design and prototyping of electronics. Running my own business was an incredibly formative and educational experience. As a freelance designer, I worked on very diverse design projects for very broad clientele. Graduate Student
-
Mar 2015 - Nov 2015
During my graduation project I explored to what extent it is possible to motivate users of a large public building to save energy. A thorough literature study was done examinining the origins of motivation in human behavior and how sustainable actions are motivated. Employing the "persuasive design method" an interactive installation called "TRNKT" and a supporting application were sketched-up, prototyped and tested through multiple design iterations.
