Boris Igor Palella, chemical engineer is Ph.D in Chemical Engineering, Associate Professor of Applied Thermodynamics and Heat Transfer. He takes part of the ISO group “Ergonomics of the Physical Environment”. He is member of AICARR (Italian Society of Heat Refrigeration and Air Conditioning) and coordinates its Technical Committee “Environmental Quality”. He is referee of several high ranking scientific journals on building science, human interaction with the built environment and occupational health. He has taught courses on applied thermodynamics, heat transfer and ergonomics on the thermal environment topics within undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. He is author of about 90 national and international publications on built environment particularly referred to the Indoor Environmental Quality, building science and occupational health.Research interest:Ergonomics of the Physical Environment; IEQ; Thermal comfort; Microclimatic assessment of workplaces; Thermal Stress; Occupational Health; Clothing
