Central Securities Depository of Turkey (MKK) operates the central depository and settlement system, serving 5 million investors for all financial instruments traded on Borsa Istanbul markets. Total value of assets under custody at MKK was >EUR 250 billion as of end 2020. ✷ Acted as primary contact name to international financial institutions (e.g. IMF, World Bank, CPMI-IOSCO) and global custodian banks for their risk assessments on the Turkish capital market infrastructure. Held market intelligence and due diligence sessions to rating agencies and foreign institutional clients of custodian banks. ✷ Led major projects in the Turkish post trade industry (e.g. opening of the first foreign ICSD account).
