SAPP&D is a four-year programme designed to build the capacity of political parties in Botswana, Lesotho, Malawi, eSwatini and Zambia. The Democracy Works Foundation (DWF) consortium aims to strengthen the democratic structures and institutions of political parties in Botswana, Lesotho, Malawi and Zambia as well as facilitate multi-stakeholder dialogue in eSwatini to better respond to and represent the needs of society particularly in the areas of water and energy resource management. The Democracy Works Foundation Consortium will strengthen the ability of political parties (in Botswana, Lesotho, Malawi and Zambia) and other relevant actors in eSwatini to develop participatory policies around access to sustainable water supply, clean water, and clean energy, using evidence-based knowledge, while inculcating a political culture that supports the meaningful participation of women, youth and marginalised individuals.

    • Founder SADC Open Regional Debating Championships
      • Nov 2014 - Nov 2015

The Debating Competition aims at spreading awareness amongst the youth regardingSADC and its perceived contribution to Regional Integration. The event will be open tothe public and tries to attract a wide audience from across all disciplines and age cohorts. Itcan repeatedly be noted that knowledge of SADC and its work is rather loosely anchored inthe public; a phenomenon that this event is trying to counteract. By inviting top teams fromNamibia, Zimbabwe, South Africa and Botswana to the podium, regional interaction andcritical discussion are promoted at a high level.
