• Led a county-wide, strategic planning process to create Durham County's Early Childhood Action Plan (ECAP), based on the NC Governor's statewide ECAP, to ensure that Durham County is a place where all young children and their families can thrive. The plan was produced with the partnership and leadership of 150 parents/caregivers, early childhood providers, and system leaders, and incorporated the voices of more than 1,500 families and more than 50 community institutions and organizations. • Facilitated workgroups, committees and conversations that focused on sharing and shifting power, positioning people with lived experience as experts and decision-makers, centering language justice, and utilizing human-centered design methodology to make equitable, collective decisions. • Established the governance structure to guide the plan's implementation and, in partnership with community leaders and county staff, co-facilitated the ECAP steering committee which intentionally prioritizes the perspectives and expertise of BIPOC parents/caregivers, parents/caregivers with other marginalized identities (low-wealth, LGBTQIA, disabled, ELL, etc.), front-line early childhood providers, and representatives of community-rooted organizations.
