Created therapeutic relationships, built rapport, and implemented a holistic/non-judgemental approach in regards to clients and staff. Demonstrated a non-confrontational approach to counselling and behavioural intervention techniques as well as remained calm and collected in the midst of crisis. Prepared and presented plan of cares, individual crisis management plans (ICMPS), admissions and discharges. Completed accident and incident reports and Connor’s Scales as well as implemented the FAP Recording Process (Fact, Assumption, and Plan) while on my unit. Participated in multiple groups including: Anger Management and Anxiety Group, and recreational therapies. Competed Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) training. Learned the background theory of TCI and actively participated in the activities and exercises during the training; minus the restraint training portion. Wrote the theory text and received a 100% on this examination as well as practicing and being assessed on utilizing the LSI (Life Skill Interview). Show less
