Assembly Department: Trained and responsible for building various models of hand guns and machine guns. Have been trained to work on models: M240, Mag58, FN4, FN15, FN16, SCAR16, SCAR17, PS90, and FN509. Machining Department: Trained on a Haas CNC machine drilling multiple holes into M240 receivers. This is a job that includes both machining and assembly work. Trained to use a CNC Laser machine to mark M240 receivers. Trained to use a conventional mill to cut various parts for assembly involving SCARS and PS90s. Trained to use multiple drill presses to cut and assemble M240 drive rods. Maintenance Department: Worked with the FN Maintenance Department performing jobs such as identifying serial number tags for machines and identifying which bus plug each machine is connected to, so that both could be labeled correctly. Also, creating labels for the machines and bus bars as well. Trained to operate a Scissor Jack for maintenance to access the bus bars when labeling them. Trained in creating and inventory filing system for Maintenance parts. This involved learning to use a Modula and the programs for it, creating spaces inside the modula to fit each part, using MPlus program for inventory, looking up cost for a part and documenting it. Quality: Trained in the Quality Department checking dimensions with a Micro Hite and other special gauges. Began as a Distribution Clerk Temporary Worker. Responsibilities were to pull parts from stock in Finish Stores and package them for an entire work order or shipment. Accuracy and speed were essential. Hired onto Cooper Power Tools as Assembler I in 2006. Responsible for the assembly, testing and packaging of basic pneumatic tools from start to finish. The process included accessing blueprints for troubleshooting, test data for accurate testing process, and properly setting up test equipment. Laser Machine Operator. Responsible for reading a print to determine correct location and information on which to laser a part. Ability to modify laser program perimeters to adjust to size and properties of parts. (Rofin, GSI, and AB Laser). Certification in Hazardous Waste Handling, Lock Out Tag Out, and Respirator Training. Paint Booth Operator. Involved the cleaning, taping, and painting of assembled tools. Service Center Repair Technician. Repair center duties included receiving in defective tools, diagnosing the problem, filling out a work order of parts to be replaced and a summary of problems found, and repairing the tools. Kaizen 5S experience. Duties consisted of the breaking down of work areas and rebuilding in an orderly and lean fashion to improve workplace production. Inventory Experience. Consists of the accurate counting of parts in multiple locations, creating locations for parts and putting up stock, the transferring of parts physically and the transferring of parts in the computer database. Calibration Experience. Consists of building and calibrating torque wrenches of different sizes to specifications. Promoted to Assembler II ADE department in 2011. Responsible for building and testing advanced drills used in aerospace technology industries.
