I am reconstructing a real life scenario in 3D for rendering a labeled artificial training set for an AI. The process is fully automated once set up. The AI can purposefully be fed difficult scenarios once it comfortably detects easy cases. This was done by capturing video and images from the scenario, automatic reconstruction for a coarse point-cloud model that was imported in 3D modelling software (Blender). The scene was then reconstructed with proper models/primitives/textures and rendered using Ray Tracing for realistic lighting. Furthermore the real life camera properties, such as lens distortion, depth of field and noise, can be exactly replicated by Ray Tracing that accurately simulates the path of light rays -and digital processing. The scene is automatically labeled with bounding boxes, polygons, heat-maps or any other labeling by virtue of different render passes. This scenario contained animals that were rigged with skeletons to allow for animation or different poses and automatic random variation of poses. During a course on solving PDE's using FEM we were given FEniCS. I was however interested in how to set up the matrices using linear pyramid functions as elements, so I wrote my own solver in MatLab. During a course on solving PDE's using FEM we were given FEniCS. We designed and built our own CNC machine including the H-bridge circuits attached to an Arduino for driving the stepper motors. We managed to make it write in cursive/script/longhand font using "Bresenham's line algorithm" that I had previously used to draw wireframe figures in a 3D-renderer (this is not presented in the linked video).
