The first one covers all legal affairs of the Ministry, such as cooperation with the State Attorney's office, the courts, writing and proposing new laws, giving opinions on laws proposed by other institutions and, most notably, all affairs pertaining to material rights that the veteran population is entitled to. The Sector for veteran housing, as the name suggests, covers two ways of providing housing to the veteran population: through loans and through building houses. The annual budget that I'm responsible for is 1,2 billion HRK or roughly 160 million EUR.

I was responsible for an annual budget of 45 million HRK, or 6 million EUR, and for over 9500 scholarships each year. I represented the Foundation in all legal maters. I held this position until I was appointed as assistant minister.
