With a talented inventor and a group of friends, developed, patented and commercialized a solar-powered, squirrel-proof birdfeeder! The technology delivered a stimulus to squirrels that's harmless to birds! Working out of a garage and small shop, we developed the first version of the product from scratch, obtained a patent, developed short-run production and produced over 2000 units. The product won several best new product awards and received national attention. In the second version of the product, I wrote an award winning business plan, obtained angel investment of $500,000, and completed product development and sourcing in Asia and sold over 3000 units before exiting.
