I have worked with Bobby for 15 years, both as a colleague and the last six as his direct manager. His territory included stronghold areas as well as a particularly difficult area. Either way, Bobby was always up for the challenge. Bobby is forward thinking and brings positive energy to his role. He worked collaboratively across the enterprise, from the reps he managed, to work with fellow managers, marketing and senior management. Bobby provided continuous feedback and always shared ideas for improvement. At the same time, he was totally supportive of our current products and initiatives, shining a light on the positives and not dwelling on any shortcomings. He is an effective communicator, putting people at ease and helping them to consider information in a variety of ways. I observed him in a meeting with a high level customer, where he skillfully guided the conversation, leading her to her own conclusion. The result was the opening of communications with an entire district that had previously been completely closed to us. In addition, Bobby is not afraid to have difficult conversations, which is a real asset for a manager of people. Bobby has good business sense paired with sense of humor. He anticipates needs and rolls with any situation that comes along. I very much appreciated his can-do attitude, his work ethic and his willingness to be responsible for his actions. Given the opportunity, I would add Bobby to my team again, without hesitation.
