Responsible for design, installation, management, security and documentation of Cisco network. Design networks to incorporate expansion and the implementation of new services and technology. On a daily basis monitors the performance and functionality of the Network to ensure that the system works within established standards. Utilize monitoring, performance analysis, network management, software and hardware equipment to trouble shoot and isolate problems, gauge network performance, and trace data and protocol activity. Maintain a complex range of computer network components and systems. Insure that the documentation of the Network's configuration, design, policies and procedures are accurate and up to date. Work with the security office to identify and eliminate potential security threats. Research, evaluate, and recommend new computer network equipment and technologies. Troubleshoots and resolves hardware and software problems associated with LAN/WAN network and servers. Serve as a technical escalation point for advanced troubleshooting. Deploys architected enterprise network infrastructure solutions, either working alone on specific tasks or as part of a deployment team. Performs other tasks as required to support the Air Force’s network.
