Charge RN and Staff RN in split operations between the Honolulu Clinic and West Oahu Clinic (Kapolei). Each clinic has 10-12 rooms/beds. Focus on acute ambulatory care but we often see high risk and even emergency cases regularly. Charge RN working often with one other RN supporting 3-4 providers managing 3-4 LPNs and Medical Assistants supported by Lab, XR, Ultrasound, Pharmacy and registration. We see a blend of patients ranging from minor acute care to primary care unable to see their PCP. We frequently see wound care patients and work closely the wound care staff. ACLS/PALS/BLS Certifications maintained during this time. My team understands and communicates often with the Kaiser outpatient clinic system, ER and MD Call Center. We often perform telephonic care as well. Show less

Emergency Room Staff RN. 37 Beds. Total 22 years working ER, 26 years as an RN. Incredibly well staffed, well equiped, well managed and led organization which puts many others to shame. My only regret was not joining sooner after leaving the military. I'm still interested in PRN work on Oahu or other islands. Interests remain with unique government opportunities overseas or environments not typical for normal staff nurses. Emergency Room Staff RN. 37 Beds. Total 22 years working ER, 26 years as an RN.
