      Taught Healthy Living, Healthy and Safe Foods, Child Development and Manage Transitions to 9th-12th grade. In addition, created and developed a Life Skills course to meet theneeds of Greenon’s IEP student population. Collaborated with Special Education team on a daily basis to ensure differentiated instruction that met the academic goals of my students as well as the Special Education Department. In order to implement C.O.R.E. Curriculum within my lesson plans, I actively engaged department chairs for ways to “back up” their goals. I worked closely with the treasurer and food services to streamline the FCS budget to reduce the cost of labs for my students. During my first year, I worked with the new administration team to set vigorous goals for the FCS Department to bring into state compliance under the new standards, to increase class sizes, and to meet the overall goals of GLS. I communicated regularly with parents through the electronic classroom through the GLS website, email, phone calls, and letters.
