  My responsibilities include teaching a Leadership II clinical course at a Downers Grove Provident site. These students provided care to 20 patients on the unit in a team structure, implementing staff nurses and charge nurse roles. They did everything from soup to nuts and included a central line dressing change as well on their last day of the clinical experience. They did all care, all procedures, all IVs, all Central Lines, all skilled care patient requirements, all meds, IVs, labs and all documentation. They were nurses on the unit for the day. They also had experience documenting electronically, having their own portable computer to use for the day. Show less

  My responsibilities include writing frameworks for interactive student resources for upcoming nursing textbooks; writing NCLEX-like questions for an upcoming Gerontology text; and now writing Case Studies for an upcoming Fundamentals of Nursing text which will be offered by Elsevier and experienced by students nationally throughout the country.
