Planned and implemented the Network Vision wireless network upgrade. This 4 year, $10B investment program that replaced the entire wireless network improved network performance by 50% while meeting a 100% increase in traffic growth. Created, negotiated and executed the largest network outsourcing contract in the industry with Ericsson. The 7 year, $4.5B contract was the first of its kind in North America and the largest to date in the world. The contract saved $240M over the first 3 years of the term. Shutdown and decommissioning of the iDEN wireless network. The program exceeded expectation for customer retention and saved the company $1.6B annually in expense. Led the technical launch of national LTE and Sprint Spark 4G mobile data services. Selected and implemented the next generation 2.5 gHz radio technology. Deployed LTE services to 70% of the network and 5300 “Sprint Spark” high speed LTE sites. Management and integration of the Clearwire 4G wireless network and organization. Negotiated and managed the network portion of the Clearwire relationship. After purchase in mid 2013, integrated the organizations and led the deployment of the 2.5 gHz deployment. Created and received approval for the 5 year Softbank network investment plan to create the highest quality, fastest wireless network in the US.
