During almost three decades at Keyes, I progressed from intern architect to partner. During that period, this multi-state A/E firm employed between 75 and 150 people. The firm's architectural work included industrial facilities, office buildings, banks, health care facilities, laboratories, college and university facilities, public schools and other municipal facilities. As Director of Architectural Services from 1995 to 2000, I continued with specific project design and management duties but was additionally charged with oversight and control of company-wide architectural practice.
