My expertise is in gasoline price forecasting, dealer tank wagon/ zone pricing issues, commercial fueling network, wholesale, retail branded and unbranded matters, refined products margin questions and retail fuel supply issues. My career has concentrated on being a fuel products marketer in the refining and downstream marketing sector of the petroleum industry, with particular concentration on the U.S. western region. I am articulate and precise in my explanations of supply & demand patterns, pricing and logistics related to these markets. As "Bob the Gas Guy" I am often quoted by the news media as well as on T.V. and radio interviews. My opinions have been solicited by government entities, as well handling my ongoing daily business of supply and marketing of petroleum products from my home in Terry, Montana. Show less

I worked as the Retail and Wholesale Manager for Unocal during the turmoil in the petroleum market in the 1970's. Various governmental regulations including imposed price controls on domestic oil helped cause shortages led to gasoline lines during the 1973 Oil Crisis. I was able to maneuver through complicated bureaucratic paperwork to continue supplying my accounts.
