  Founded in 2005, Flixn is a privately-held Florida corporation with offices in the Orlando, Florida, Knoxville, Tennessee, Spokane, Washington areas. Released to the public in September of 2006, the initial version of Flixn.com provided an intuitive video messaging solution to its patrons free-of-charge. One of the first communication tools of its kind, the site allowed instant recording and publishing of video from a webcam or similar peripheral without software installation.
