Bio
Tenette Prevatte
Connie was a fantastic student, very quick, and very willing to help others. She is one of my greatest 'success stories' from FTCC.
Rich Caminiti
I worked with Constance during her internship here at the City of Fayetteville on almost a daily basis. I cannot say enough about her. She is an intelligent, personable and extremely knowledgeable woman. She was always a self starter and required no supervision. While I DID supervisor her, it was only by title only as she immediately grasped her tasks. I would recommend her for any position that she applies for. My only regret is that she is no longer here working with us!

Networking Instructor
-
Jan 2011 - Dec 2014
I teach Networking and Security Classes (including Cisco Exploration courses, Linux, Security Concepts, Hardware/Software, Introduction to Operating Systems, Windows Single User (XP/7/8), Windows Server (2003/2008), CCNA-Security and Wireless Technology). I help manage two teaching assistants that are students. I am responsible for preparing for those classes and development of new textbooks and classes. I teach one online class per year at Central Carolina Community College (Security Concepts). I also have taken over responsibility for advising students and helping with recruitment of new students. On top of my normal duties, I am involved with our Completion by Design team for the entire college and set to be on the next Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) core team (beginning this Summer). I also voluntarily help out with campus events, such as New Student Orientation sessions. During the Summer, I have taught a workshop for our Upward Bound program in Computer Networking/Programming Basics for two consecutive years (this program allows at risk high school age students to be exposed to college life). I am teaching Cisco (CCNA) courses in an online format. In this role, I am using videos and real-time synchronous video conferencing software to present the material in the best way possible for students that may or may not be able to attend class on campus. I am also using a system called Netlab to still provide the vital lab work needed in order to learn the concepts taught in these courses. I am teaching Cisco (CCNA) courses in an online format. Help Desk Technician
-
Aug 2010 - Dec 2010
I did both over-the-phone help desk support and in-person support for students. I did basic repair functions on student computers (mostly laptops). I also performed virus/spyware removal on those computers. I reset passwords for several systems (including active directory) and added users/groups to active directory (occasionally). I also prepped new computers for delivery (installed drivers, software, set up Outlook, etc). I did both over-the-phone help desk support and in-person support for students. IT Intern
-
Jan 2010 - Jul 2010
I provided technical support to many remote locations (such as fire stations and recreation centers), as well as City Hall and the police department. I installed software and upgraded operating systems (upgraded a public lab with default profiles from Windows 2000 to XP). I called Dell and communicated with their technical support to order replacement parts. I replaced many Dell hard drives and other hardware in laptops (they usually sent the parts for me to install). I did troubleshooting on many of those laptops prior to calling Dell's technical support line. I also imaged new hard drives and created images with installed software for ease of deployment of laptops to patrol officers. Show less
