As a Guide in BASE you approach museum visitors to have a conversation about the art, but also about their experiences and perspectives. Guiding is very different from the normal tours because of the initiative you have to take to step up to someone.

  I’ve worked for O’Neill Summercamps, surfing camps for children, in Zeeland. I started as a volunteer for two years and worked my way up to becoming an instructor in the third year. As a member of the camp staff team, my goal is to make sure every kid has an amazing week whilst taking care of camp logistics, planning and day to day operations. It’s great responsibility to be in charge of children during their camp week. I learned that safety is the most important thing to manage. During the day I teach the kids about surfing, the sea, the wind, safety and the lifestyle. Kitesurfing is a very exciting, but also a quite challenging sport that requires a lot of discipline. At the camps we balance a fun and relaxing lifestyle with pushing your boundaries and learning new things. Show less
