  Clerprem Spa is a multinational company producing seats for cars and trains and delivering them to customers such as Siemens, SNCF, Alstom, Audi, Lamborghini, Bentley, BMW, and so on. I send purchase orders to the suppliers in China and once the material is ready, I analyze the best shipping solution, by negotiating the price with the forwarders and selecting the most sensible shipping method. As the goods reach the Italian plant I am working for, I cooperate with the Production team to get the final products ready on time. Once the seats are ready, I ship them to our customers located all over the world – most frequently in the USA, Mexico, Canada, Tunisia, Egypt. Of course I select the best shipping methods once again, always being in contact with the consignee with weekly calls until the final delivery of the material. I manage more or less 10 import and 10 export containers each month. For LCL shipments, it may happen that I arrange shipments by air and by train. I draw up and edit all the documentation for customs procedures (both for import and export) and, in case of critical issues, I promptly take the field to fix them. Every month I analyze the costs of the shipments by asking the forwarders to share their proposals and benchmarking them to be sure to get the best shipping solutions. Since 2018, I have been Logistics Manager of the plant located in Sacramento, CA, for the delivery of train seats for the project Virgin and Calidot (USA) and ViaRail (Canada). Show less
