Enter accurate and relevant patient medical information under the supervision of a physician or licensed physicians assistant. Support physicians by aiding them with data acquisition and supporting workflow. Monitor, chart, and report to physician the results of various lab and radiology tests. Ensure accurate and real-time comprehensive documentation of patient-provider interaction, allowing the provider to spend more one-on-one time with the patient. Function as a liaison between the physician and various nursing, ED clerical, and registration staff to relay relevant and time-sensitive information. Creating and implementing effective training programs for new hires in both a classroom and on-site setting. Keep abreast of and contribute to the implementation of new policies and procedures in the Emergency Room. Coordinate with the ER Medical Director and the ER Nursing Director to ensure optimal performance by all scribes. Construct and manage the schedule for OPMC scribes, making sure that the interests of the scribes, the ER, and Scribe Solutions Management in mind. Lead quarterly meetings to discuss new policies, procedures, issues, and awards relevant to OPMC. Conduct interviews for new hires for St. Augustine, Jacksonville, and Orange Park regional areas. Assess individual scribe performances on, at minimum, an annual basis.
