  Optomec provided me the unique opportunity to apply software engineering to a wide range of robotic and production additive manufacturing systems primarily using the .NET stack / Visual studio. I enjoyed creating device drivers and providing malleable architectural approaches critical to robotic systems. I was responsible for constructing and administrating the following servers: Jira (task management), Bamboo (build automation), Bitbucket (Git Repository) and WIBU licensing server for encrypted products. I was also given the responsibility for the installer production for our products ensuring that dependencies and use retained integrity. When required I also spent time supporting internal staff and clients with wide variety of project work including onsite support. I was assigned both lead and supporting roles for multiple projects. Our Additive and hybrid systems are used today in electronics, biomedical, aerospace, defense, and numerous other industries and provide up to 5 axis of simultaneous motion in addition to a managed deposition engine. I became an expert on effectively decoupling traditional MVC models for the benefit of robotic / programmatic flexibility by way of interfacing methodologies. Notable Accomplishments: • Increased manufacturing and research effort effectiveness by developing a tool to generate system configuration through end user specification. • Established custom interfacing between Sales Force and Jira to allow issue generation for software from the customer support process. When closed Jira emails the Sales Force case lead to release the issue to move forward or be closed out. • Created a new printing procedure to allow our print engines to more effectively start and stop printing by calculating lead in and lead out movement calibrate to the time required for deposition to start / stop while considering motion profile. • Developed drivers for chiller control systems to regular temperatures for ultrasonic atomization controllers.   CPFD (Computational Particle Fluid Dynamics) was a fantastic place for me to start my career. The small business atmosphere provided me with a large array of opportunity to develop my IT skills while I was groomed into solid programmatic foundation. Here I was provided a multitude of projects primarily regarding GUI development. I became an expert on maintaining UI uniformity while ensuring effective communication for our end users was paramount. My work included supporting internal and external (client stakeholders) for new features and bug fixes. I was able to expand my skills into cross compilation as we adopted Windows and Linux compatibility into our Qt (C++) code base. Before leaving CPFD I was able to demonstrate a firm understanding of business functions and knowledge of design methodology in cooperative planning and development environments. I was also very proud to build understanding of advanced particle flow physics for software integrations during my time at CPFD. Notable Accomplishments: • Assembly and operation of organic continuous integration server (Jenkins Automation Framework) to automate compilation, deployment of executables, installer creation, silent installation of product, testing and emailed feedback of post processing data. • Developed UI tool to allow simulation properties to be changed dynamically relative to simulation time. • Supported the development of (GPU) parallel calculation through testing and UI efforts. • Played a crucial role in standalone system design by analyzing and determining specifications for standardizing business methods. • Setup and managed server machines for business/office function. • Managed software licensing server, network shares and played an active role in internal logistical technologies. • Managed office VOIP server.   My time in the United States Army has molded the foundations of my core values. The Army introduced me to the enlightenment of challenge and gave me the tools to maintain myself physically and mentally. During my time in the military I have spent over 18 months in areas of conflict and returned with perception and drive for myself and my country. My particular MOS put me into power generation and power generator repair for forward operating bases in remote locations. This was great negotiation for my core soldier efforts and my professional ambitions for engineering.   Mega Corp was a considerate position that allowed me to pursue my education while still stimulating my passion for mechanical and electrical engineering. During my time at Mega Corp I was able to grow a knowledge for production systems and gain an understanding for electrical assembly and troubleshooting. This opportunity provided me with a wide range of knowledge in the use of potentiometers, relays, resistors, optoelectronics, passive components, sensors, switches, circuit protection, and thermal management. My role constantly assisted in the development, planning, design, and the eventual assembly of specialized systems; primarily in dust suppression for heavy mining operations. Notable Accomplishments: • Works closely with mechanical engineering to assist in fabricating and constructing unique and specialized solutions for heavy mining equipment. • Constructs various systems to include duties performed: measuring, drilling, rotary wheel cutting, grinding, counter sinking, soldering, calibrating, and interpreting wiring schematics and blueprint designs. • Worked closely with mechanical and electrical engineers to develop better methods of controls engineering.
