During my university carrier I stumbled across many instructors and Blair McInnis is a remarkable one. First and foremost his approach to teaching is very unique in the sense that he teaches from his vast previous experience bringing real engineering scenarios into the traditional classroom environment which makes the student be more engaged with the subject material and understand its real life application. Second he encourages students to practice safety during his labs not just using the required PPE but more importantly following the Canadian electrical code and following the rules for shock hazard and flash hazards when doing an electrical design or when working on energized equipment because human are the most significant assets. Third he encourages his student to network, to go to engineering seminars, to search for skills required on online jobs postings and he provides student with resources and links to electrical websites to further their education, Blair MacInnis goes above and beyond his duty as an instructor to prepare the students for whats out there. Blair MacInnis is a remarkable instructor, thank you for making a positive impact on your students, we greatly appreciate your leadership.

Blair is one of the best instructors in CBU with a great attitude, has a very good knowledge on process instrumentation, control, automation, PLC, DCS and continuously updates himself. His industrial oriented teaching style helps me understand the concepts in a better way. His support and guidance for student's employment is great.
