Blaine John came to work at W3 Insurance as an Intern during the summer of 2023. During the course of his internship, I served as his immediate supervisor. Throughout his time at W3 he impressed all of the sales and senior management staff with his insurance knowledge, work ethic, presentation skills, and professional demeanor. Blaine went above and beyond to accomplish all that was tasked of him and constantly received rave reviews from everyone he interacted with. Over the course of his internship, Blaine was often given tasks and objectives that were out of his depth. However, he always managed to pull through and deliver an exceptional finished product. He also regularly demonstrated his resourcefulness and problem solving skills, often showing great initiative to do self research and engage relevant 3rd parties to accomplish is goal. While at W3, Blaine was given the opportunity to shadow the members of our Production team which gave him some experience in the field. Blaine even volunteered himself to attempt some cold calling and cold prospect visits. Blaine has a natural aptitude for sales and I'm sure he will excel in any role he finds himself in; and be an asset to any company that hires him. The impact that Blaine left on W3 will be long felt and we hope for and welcome the opportunity to one day work with him again.

      During my Internship at Staffing Management Group, I immersed myself in an environment of continuous growth, teamwork and entrepreneurship. My role as Risk Coordinator enabled me to be a pivotal factor in the process of assessing, qualifying, and onboarding new clients in all 50 states. The process for qualifying new clients included both financial and liability risk analysis. After just two weeks of employment, I earned the right to work directly with our clients, brokers, and carriers to ensure smooth interaction and strong customer service. Each day I collaborated with our internal leadership team including the President and CEO along with the insurance providers to ensure that all 350+ active employees we employed had proper Workers Comp coverage and the customers had sufficient Credit Coverage. If any of these 350+ employees received an injury while working, it was my responsibility to coordinate and document the events with the injured worker, on-site supervisor, and carrier in order to fill out all the necessary paperwork. The ever-growing responsibilities I accumulated in the three months span at SMG have prepared me for my next opportunity. Show less

      On the surface, this position appears trivial and has low skill requirements, however, upon closer scrutiny, it introduced me to real-world soft skills such as communication, teamwork, adaptability, problem-solving, work ethic, attention to detail, time management, and organization. But most importantly it sharpened my customer service skills. My open personality allowed me to connect with customers, which led to accommodations for my exceptional customer service skills. Eventually, I accumulated so many customer compliments that I received a handwritten letter from the district manager complimenting and thanking me. Show less
