In my role as a business developer at Umeå municipality, I was tasked with: - Create better conditions for the computer gaming industry. - Start up and run an Entrepreneurial Council together with the industry organization Företagarna. In the video game industry we succeeded in creating better relationships and conditions with the regional video game cluster Arctic Game Lab (AGL). We collaborated with education to establish in Umeå and in the cluster AGL. We made contacts with VC companies and publishers within computer games. We developed and invested together with Uminova Innovation to create better conditions for startups in the computer gaming industry. The Entrepreneurial Council was born in February 2018 together with selected entrepreneurs. The purpose and aim of the Council was to create better conditions for dialogue between companies and the municipality. The council meets four times per year where companies are allowed to influence the content of the discussion and where various functions from the municipality participate to answer questions and have a dialogue.
