At Aon Hewitt I was mainly responsible (together with one other colleague) for the development of the internally used tool called 'Oval'. This tool uses raw data from the Aon administration (Lifetime) as an input. The raw data consists of pension rights and general information. Per event (such as retirement, change in salary and so on) a new line is added into the raw data. The tool converts this data in a suitable format, so that it can be used for the valuation of the pension rights for pension funds. The main application is the annual actuarial reports, in particular the changes in liabilities during a year. I significantly increased the performance of the tool and added additional checks so we were able to improve the quality of the products even further. Besides that I was a member of the Aon Hewitt Longevity Model-team, a team that determines pension fund-dependent mortality experience rates mainly based on the postal code of each member of the pension fund. As a technical consultant I supported client consultants in the actuarial calculations for clients, such as the transition from Dutch Pension Fund to Belgian IORP and determining exchange rates for flexible retirement. After my internship as a student at Towers Watson I began to work full-time at Towers Watson in the section Retirement. As an senior analyst I was involved in the advisory of pension funds, insurers and employers with all kind of different purposes, such as accounting, monthly reports to DNB, annual reports, actuarial reports and in the process of a transition from for example a pension fund to an insurer. Furthermore I have gained a lot of experience in certifying pension funds. In addition I was responsible for the project management, i.e. planning, budgeting and monitoring, of smaller projects and in delegating the work to junior analysts.With regard to non-client related activities I have played a major role in the nation-wide applied archiving-structure for all files and documents and was part of the mortality experience team within Towers Watson. Furthermore I was a member of the Excel Champions Team and was the Microsoft expert at the office of Eindhoven. Finally I was the contact concerning recovery plans within the Netherlands for Towers Watson and tool owner of the tool 'Recovery Plan Modeller' used to develop these recovery plans. Show less

I have given courses to four classes; two first-year classes with level 'vmbo-t/havo', one first-year class with level 'havo/vwo' and one second-year class with level 'havo'. For 3 months I was the substitute for another teacher. At the end of May she came back and as agreed upon at the beginning she gradually got back her classes.
